Chicken drumstick

Yes, she had it today. Took it, put it directly to her mouth.
From Tep Collection 6-12 months

I gave her yesterday but because it was too big, she turned down after some attempts. Today, I stirred some meat out to make the drumstick smaller and she had it.

She enjoys eating everyday. The last couple days, she's stuffed foods in her mouth then spitted out. Today she swallowed a whole full mouth of broccoli. I gave her more fruits like water melon, blackberry, prune, nectar. She started picking rice but refused pasta. We notice that if we put two different things in front of her, she'll pick the one she likes. When we gave her pasta and asparagus, she tried pasta, didn't like it, threw away and turned to asparagus. She starts picking small piece of food she spits out.

One thing, my period returned and my supply seems lower. Tep still gets most of her nutrition from breast milk. Hope we can make it until one year!

New progress

Tep has progress in sitting and holding. Now she doesn't flop to front, she can sit more comfortably in high chair. Of course she is bored after about 20-30 minutes and cries to be out. We also see progress in her eating. She can hold food better, hand over food from right hand to left hand and put in mouth quite accurately. She can chew a bit and tries to swallow. The day when she swallowed a piece of fried tofu was so scary. Most of the time she spits out. However she's still not very interested in food. She is distracted very easily. And we find that if we don't stare at her, she will focus more on food. She seems enjoy small stick of food like green bean, chicken...

First solid poo

After 3.5 days without poo, the first batch arrived today. It looked like puree, very smelly, no more mild breastfed poo smell. I saw some tiny things from the broccoli. Good thing she is not constipated. I guess the long weekend with her Daddy made her lazy in everything (more difficult to go to bed, no poo, just want to play forever).

Today I slow down the food, she just had boiled bean for dinner. She can sit unassisted a bit longer, but still not very comfortably in the high chair.

4th day of experiment

Yesterday Tep was not very happy at table. I boiled some carrot and kohlrabi (German turnip) but they were too soft and slippy. She was very frustrated because she couldn't pick the pieces up. We gave her strawberry. Ah, it was very easy to pick up but the taste was ehhhrrr.

Today's breakfast we gave her pieces of peach. They were less slippy and she could hold for longer. She could bit a small pieces, tried to chew and spitted up. I felt a bit nervous when I saw small piece in her mouth. But actually today she gagged just once. We tried the strawberry again and she threw away, waved her hand to show that she didn't like it.

Avocado

The second day Tep played longer. We gave her the broccoli left over from the first day. She concentrated to pick up and put in her mouth. She sucked and munched. She seemed to control more on sitting. Meal ended after 15 minutes.

This morning (3/6) we gave her avocado with the cover on. It was ripe but she could manage to put on her mouth and ate a bit. But still she gagged.

Done

She is still a little smaller in the Antilop. Today we went to IKEA to buy the seat's support and some plastic bibs. It was not a good idea to put the new bib on. She immediately ate the new bib and forgot the food. I gave her a piece of papaya. But it was too slippy because there was no cover. She was not interested. When Daddy changed the bib, she seemed angry. Just after some touching, she gagged and puked then cried. We stopped and picked her up. She sat on my lap and started playing a bit with grilled augbergine.

Still no poo. Recently she has poo every 3 days and on the poo day she has 3 times lol

Tep's first solid ever

Tep's first food was broccoli

After 5 minutes playing, munching, she stopped. She did gag a bit.
